Born, raised, and bathed in San Diego sunshine, Knockaround is the original, affordable sunglasses brand. Since 2005 we’ve committed to making durable shades that are both practical and stylish. Our stellar customer service and ever-growing selection of high-quality eyewear have made us not just hometown favorites, but go-to’s across the globe!
Classics share a unique narrative, one that tells a story of the open-road explorers who wore similar sunglasses as early as 1919. But these shades are anything but dated—they never go out of style (that’s why they’re called Classics) and they look great on just about anyone. And like all of our shades, these matte black Classics feature UV400 protection for safe all-day wear.
KNOCKAROUND IS PLASTIC NEUTRAL
Making high-quality shades is the core of what we do, but inevitably that means we contribute to excess plastic byproduct. The idea of being a net drain on the environment doesn’t sit well with us, so we partnered with 4ocean to maintain plastic neutrality and work further to improve the environmental friendliness of our process.
Sustainability
In 2022, Knockaroud officially became Plastic Neutral—for every pound of plastic we use, we remove one pound from the environment elsewhere. But that’s far from where our sustainability efforts end. We’ve also implemented minimalist, recycled packaging, eliminated single-use plastics, and included recycled materials in our products whenever possible. There’s always more progress to be made, but we’re committed to putting in the work.

POLARIZED LENSES
Polarized lenses cut glare by filtering out horizontal light waves, like the ones that bounce off water or the road. Without this glare, you’re left with a more gentle view and reduced eye strain, not to mention crisper, cleaner details!
